The award-winning macro photographer Levon Biss is currently developing a new project that will visualise elements of science, nature and technology. The intention is to entertain and engage the public on these subjects and encourage curiosity for their surroundings. The photographs will highlight details of our world normally hidden from view, revealing fascinating subjects and stories that will inspire the public to appreciate and investigate their environment further.

The Hidden Beauty of Science, Nature & Technology.

Project opportunity

The award-winning macro photographer Levon Biss is currently developing a new project that will visualise elements of science, nature and technology.  The intention is to entertain and engage the public on these subjects and encourage curiosity for their surroundings. The photographs will highlight details of our world normally hidden from view, revealing fascinating subjects and stories that will inspire the public to appreciate and investigate their environment further.

Scientific text will accompany each image explaining the content of the photograph, providing an ideal platform to present research projects to a wide audience.  The end product of the project will be a book, exhibition and website, ensuring a global reach.

The subject matter will vary wildly and there are very view limitations on what can be considered for inclusion within the project.  There are just three main requirements:

  • There should be something physical for Levon to photograph (theoretical research may be harder to visualise, but still not impossible).

  • The subject matter and story behind it should be interesting, engaging and educational.

  • The physical subject will ideally be small so that the photograph can reveal details not visible with the human eye.

We want the audience to be exposed to wonderful facts and interesting stories on how life and their surroundings function.  Do you feel there are elements of your research that would make a compelling photograph and story? If so, please email Levon Biss directly with details - contact@levonbiss.com.
