This three day course will introduce you to the theory and practice of effective leadership and help you develop a creative and innovative approach to your research, and to leadership in your own context.

COURSE DETAILS

This three day course will introduce you to the theory and practice of effective leadership and help you develop a creative and innovative approach to your research, and to leadership in your own context.

There will be opportunities to engage in a number of different aspects of leadership relating to the self, others, teams, organisations and society.  The course will include a variety of approaches and activities, including self-reflection and applying theory to practice. The course will cover

  • Leadership theory, aspects and practice, and opportunities to develop your own leadership style
  • Opportunities to build self-awareness
  • Understanding how to influence and impact leadership in your own context
  • Developing innovation, enterprise and creativity skills in the context of leadership and research

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this course participants will be able to 

  • Develop an awareness of leadership theory, aspects and practice and in particular an understanding of your own leadership style
  • Develop skills to build self-awareness
  • Understand how you can influence and impact leadership in your own context
  • Develop innovation, enterprise and creativity skills in the context of leadership and research
