Jisc agree Elsevier deal

UK universities have reached a three-year agreement with Elsevier providing both unlimited open access publishing and access to paywalled journal articles for a significant reduction on current institutional spend. Read the full release from Jisc.

UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) – OA funder requirements from 1 April 2022

The new UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Open Access Policy came into effect on 1 April 2022. This has been in formation for several years, and aligns with the Plan S principles. The new policy will apply to all UKRI funded authors on articles submitted after 1st April 2022. As of this date all research councils are subject to the same UKRI-wide open access policy, and MRC/BBSRC funded authors must fulfil additional requirements. Opening hours

The Radcliffe Science Library and Vere Harmsworth Library will be closed Friday 15 April to Sunday 17 April. We will be open as usual on Monday 18 April, 9am–7pm.

From Saturday 23 April our hours will be:

  • Monday – Friday: 9am – 10pm
  • Saturday: 10am – 4pm
  • Sunday: 11am – 5pm
