This week more than 800 pupils from schools in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire attended the University of Oxford Christmas science lectures.

Topics included computer science and social media, oncology and radiotherapy, exploring Mars, maths and zombies, genetics, and the evolution of human vision.

The Chemistry Christmas Show saw Santa and one of his elves take students on a discovery journey from cold to hot chemistry.

Recordings of all the lectures are available here.
