Oxford e-Research Centre are pleased to announce the launch of the Research Software Developers Network (RSDN), a new network for research software developers and data developers in any academic discipline.  The network aims to give increased visibility, networking support, and career progression opportunities to anyone who develops software or electronic data for research in all departments of the University.

By registering and uploading their profile at they can meet others, share experiences and find out about similar roles when their current contract ends.

Researchers or managers needing help with software development for a project can visit the site to find talented individuals with the right skills, and ask for informal expert advice.

The network is already building momentum, with 183 people registered to date, and has held six open talk and networking events, with speakers on topics such as Docker and the Live Data Project. There are further events on 17 May and 17 June.
