Mpls academics secure four advanced grants from the european research council

The latest round of Advanced Grants from the ERC (European Research Council) have been announced.

The Oxford recipients are:

Professor Dame Carol Robinson (Chemistry)

Professor Alison Noble (Engineering)

Professor Martin Booth (Engineering)

Professor Pedro Ferreira (Physics)

This is Professor Dame Carol Robinson's second Advanced Grant. She was a previous recipient in the 2010 competition).

The funding, worth in total €647 million, will enable 277 researchers to pursue their most promising ideas and carry out frontier research with potentially ground-breaking impact on science and society beyond. The grants are awarded under the 'excellent science' pillar of Horizon 2020, the EU's research and innovation programme.
