Can you explain a concept in science, mathematics or engineering to an audience in just three minutes without using slides or notes? Can you entertain them and inform them at the same time?

Spread the word, FameLab UK is BACK!

Bringing science to the stage, the nation’s premiere talent show for scientists, engineers and mathematicians is returning with a bang – and this year maybe it’s your turn to take part?

Famelab is a UK-wide competition to find the new faces of STEM - where the most engaging, creative and daring individuals in science battle to surprise and fascinate public audiences with unbelievable facts and unforgettable performances.

Oxford competitors have a great record of making it to the UK final (and doing really well) and last year our heats generated both the eventual national winner Kyle Evans and the runner-up Jase Taylor.

Science Oxford is hosting the Oxford heats early in 2017 and they take place at the St Aldate’s Tavern, St Aldates, Oxford on:

Heat 1 - 31st January 2017

Heat 2 - 9th February 2017

The regional final will take place at The Bullingdon, Cowley Road, Oxford on 8th March and features our very own 2016 FameLab UK winner Kyle Evans.

So if you’ve always fancied turning your hand to performing, are passionate about your field of study and think you can win over an audience, why not sign up today?
