The British Ecological Society invites nominations for its ecological engagement award. This recognises an ecologist who has bridged the gap between ecology and other groups.

Engagement is defined as an insightful sharing of views that has benefits for all involved. Initiatives and activities considered include communication and interaction through a wide range of online and offline media, and public outreach activities at national or international level.

Nominees must have demonstrated a substantial contribution to the public’s engagement with ecology and be still working in the ecological field.

The award consists of an honorarium of £1,000, which is presented at the society’s annual meeting.

Deadline for nominations is noon at Monday 25 April.
