Cancer Research UK invites nominations for its rising star in research engagement prize that recognises an individual for commitment to stimulating enthusiasm and interest in cancer research among the general public. There is a £1,000 cash prize.

Cancer Research UK invites nominations for its rising star in research engagement prize. This recognises an individual for commitment to stimulating enthusiasm and interest in cancer research among the general public.

Nominations may be made on behalf of individuals who are living at the time of the nomination. Self-nominations are allowed. Nominees need to be in receipt of, or have been supported either directly or indirectly by, CRUK funding. Researchers at all career levels are eligible. Nominees may be currently based at any geographical location, however, a significant proportion of their public engagement work should have taken place in the UK. Institutions or organisations are not eligible.

The prize is worth £1,000, and may be used to support, develop or extend public engagement activity, or to undertake training relating to public engagement.

Individuals may self-nominate.

Deadline is 3pm (BST) on 9 April
