Coming Soon: Departmental Culture Change Seed Fund
Oxford's Public Engagement with Research team is launching a new funding scheme for 2021: a Departmental PER Culture Change Seed Fund.
This rolling grant scheme will award £1,500 - £4,000 to proposals aimed at developing a department's capacity for and prioritisation of PER. Both researchers and departmental & divisional professional services staff will be eligible to apply on behalf of their units.
The scheme launches in January and more information will be available on the PER webpage then.
So, get those thinking caps on! Perhaps there's something you've identified as a particular barrier or gap within your area and some money will help address that. All MPLS departments, at some point in the last few years, has undergone an 'EDGE' analysis, that is looking across various dimensions known to be important for helping to embed PER as part of the culture of an organisation, so you could start looking there.
As always, I'm very happy to help advise, so don't hesitate to get in touch.
