Funding - Institute of Physics Public Engagement Grants, deadline 7 May
IoP's public engagement grant scheme provides up to £2000 to individuals and organisations running physics-based events and activities in the UK and Ireland.
The grant scheme has two rounds each year. Round 1 of the Public Engagement Grant Scheme 2018 is open now with successful projects to be completed by the end of February 2019.
Deadline for applications is noon on 7 May 2018.
Applicants are encouraged to contact Emma Watson, Outreach Officer, to discuss their application before submitting it.

The Institute of Physics is looking to fund projects that:
- Raise public awareness of, and engagement with, contemporary physics.
- Inspire and enthuse public audiences, especially those not previously interested in physics.
- Reach adult and family audiences beyond the classroom.
- Develop the science communication skills of individuals, particularly physicists.
