The Medical Research Council (MRC) offers between £500 and £5,000 for MRC-funded researchers to pilot new activities and develop innovative engagements.
MRC will prioritise funding for activities which support the scheme aims to:
• Build capacity and skills within our scientists and inspire the next generation.
• Build trust and break down barriers between researchers and society.
• Improve research, inform and influence policy.
• Respond to a societal need.
All applicants are encouraged to discuss their project with the communications or public engagement contacts at their MRC unit, centre or institute and/or university before applying.
Applications are regularly reviewed and notification of the outcome is usually 6 weeks after submission of an application.
