Host an in2science student this summer, deadline 15 May
12 April 2018
Public Engagement - opportunity
*Calling all PhD students, postdocs, PIs, and technicians!*
in2scienceUK is looking for researchers to get involved and host a disadvantaged Year 12 student for 1 to 2 weeks during the summer.
Students will be able to work alongside researchers, speak to them about their past education experiences, different science degrees and careers, and get advice they may not receive at school or at home. Our aim is to support students in their application to competitive research universities.
in2scienceUK placements are simple to organise: you choose the dates and we'll interview and select the student for you. Hosting a student acts as evidence for a research group’s public engagement and widening participation.
Last year, researchers donated over 7000 hours to host 250 students from low income backgrounds. With your support, we can make 2018 just as successful! Help us make a difference by hosting a student this summer:

Last year, 8 students were placed around MPLS departments - if you'd like to speak to the researchers that hosted students, then get in touch and we can pass you on.
