NCCPE Engage Conference, Bristol, Dec 2022, bookings now open
Bookings are open for NCCPE's annual Engage Conference; a conference aimed at anyone interested in public and community engagement and innovation. This year's conference has in-person and virtual days in early December.
This year, Engage will consist of two day-long events: Engage Live and Engage Online. Realising the value for many of meeting face to face, and the flexibility afforded by engaging online, Engage will make the most of both worlds.
Engage Live will take place in person in Bristol on Wednesday 7th December - a day of inspiring plenary talks, networking sessions and smaller discussion groups. There will also be an informal, in-person networking event on the evening of 6th December, giving us a chance for a long overdue catch up with old friends and colleagues, and to meet some new ones!
Engage Online will take place the following week on Thursday 15th December. Making the most of online engagement, this programme will build on day 1, bringing a new array of guest speakers, interactive sessions and fresh conversations. For those joining us online, there will also be an opportunity to meet with other delegates and speakers virtually on 6th December and watch key highlights as they happen.
As the pressures on the university sector mount – demanding change on our internal cultures and a step change in our engagement with wider society – this year's Engage Conference will provide a welcome space to pause and make sense of the collective challenges we face. Bringing together people from inside and outside Higher Education, and from different engagement specialisms, we will take stock of the system-shaking changes we are living through and develop a shared agenda and road map to help us navigate the months ahead.
Engage Live will take place at EP1, located at The University of the West of England’s Frenchay Campus. Engage Online will be delivered on Zoom and joining instructions will be sent nearer the time.
The programme is due to be launched shortly. Usually there is a mixture of talks and workshops covering big picture policy through to project case studies and practice development.
