NERC is offering an opportunity for researchers to run public engagement activities as part of their annual showcase 2020. The showcase will take place at Techniquest Science Centre in Cardiff in July 2020.
Visitors to the event will range from families and young people, to policymakers and people that do not usually interact with science in their daily lives.
The environmental science showcase will comprise of approximately 20 hands-on exhibits, talks and debate, and science buskers. Through the exhibition activities, talks, debates and discussions, the event will engage visitors with research of the natural world, connecting a diverse range of people to environmental science, and the process of doing research.

The popular citizen science project, Galaxy Zoo, went super-sized at this year’s Oxford Christmas Light Festival (Friday 15 – Saturday 16 November 2019).
