An introductory course from Blue Fire Films for scientists wanting to learn the nuts and bolts of using social media and how to create stand-out content. As well as teaching you the fundamentals, they have curated inspiring examples of science communication on social which they will share with you throughout the course. You’ll have the opportunity to ask plenty of questions and have a go at some light-touch exercises to apply your learning. By the end of the course, you’ll have the confidence to plan and execute professional posts to promote your science.
The course covers understanding your audiences, the art of good science storytelling, getting to know different platforms, different types of content, marketing tactics and understanding your impact.
The course will take place via Zoom on 10-11 Jan 2023. Day one is a full day. Day two is a half day.
