Royal Society Medals and Awards: nominations open, deadline 15 Feb
The Royal Society's prestigious annual awards and medals are now open for nominations. Awards require a nominator.
The awards and prizes for engagement, communication of science and impact include:
David Attenborough Award and Lecture
This award is given for outstanding public engagement with science. We encourage nominations for individual who has a proven track record of excellence in public engagement. This includes, but is not limited to, people who are public engagement professionals, practitioners, and researchers. The medal is of silver gilt, is awarded annually and is accompanied by a gift of £2,500.

Michael Faraday Prize and Lecture
This prize is given to an outstanding scientist for excellence in engaging sectors of society with science. The medal is of silver gilt, is awarded annually and is accompanied by a gift of £2,500.

Wilkins-Bernal-Medawar Medal and Lecture
This medal is given for excellence in the history, philosophy or social impact of science. The medal is of bronze, is awarded annually and is accompanied by a gift of £2,000.

All awards require a nominator to submit their nomination online Monday 15 February 2021 at 3pm GMT.
The same candidate can be nominated for multiple awards but separate nominations will be needed. Nominees cannot self-nominate.
Please do nominate or encourage others to nominate to recognise and acknowledge those who have achievements and made excellent contributions in the relevant areas.
