Bright Sparks Science are helping to organise a family fun day in support of Helen and Douglas House on Saturday 9 June on the sports field in the centre of Harwell Campus, and they are looking for science based stands / activities.
The aim of the event is not only to raise money for Helen & Douglas House, but to offer an exciting opportunity for families to get hands-on with science and explore STEM related organisations. To attend this event each family pays a £5 entry fee, but then all the activities we've organised are free, keeping the cost low and accessible for those from disadvantaged backgrounds. We are expecting around 2,000- 3,000 people to attend.
In addition to the usual food stalls and entertainment they're looking for science, technology, engineers, art and maths activities - could be anything, but including hands-on demos and other stall-based activities.
If you are interested in taking part or have any questions, contact Jen Hughes.
