Our termly Enterprising Women Lunch and Learn event took place on 21 May at the Chemistry Research Laboratory.

Dr Martine Abboud (Chemistry) is a Junior Research Fellow in Chemical Biology at the Department of Chemistry. She was named on the 2019 Forbes 30 Under 30 list of the most impressive individuals under 30 in Europe and is an active science communicator, event organiser, and writer.

She delivered a passionate and engaging talk about her scientific journey as a first-generation graduate, life-work balance, and entrepreneurial aspirations and shared valuable information on the various enterprise-related opportunities that researchers can access in Oxford.

The talk was followed by a networking lunch where the guests had the opportunity to mingle and learn more about our Training and Development course programme and our RisingWISEprogramme for which the window of applications will open in a month’s time. For expressions of interest, email
