Following on from last year’s successful bootcamp where one of our researchers led the winning team, the Knowledge Transfer Office at HKBU have generously offered us 6 scholarships for Oxford students to join the third annual HKBU Entrepreneurship Bootcamp, 24-27th May 2019, for a fun and interactive 4-day immersive learning experience, creating new ventures alongside students from Berkeley, Nanjing, China, Hong Kong and Singapore. All your accommodation, meals and fees will be covered, plus a grant of to cover one quarter of your air fare (full cost of air fare around £400-500, so you would need to raise the balance of the air fare). It offers a great opportunity to learn more at first-hand about life and working in China, as well as gaining more understanding of different approaches to commerce and entrepreneurship. Priority will be given to MPLS researchers in the first instance but we will also consider applications by postgraduates from other divisions.
To apply for one of these sponsored places we ask you to simply send in a short statement (two to three paragraphs) outlining why you want to go and why you think you would make a good participant in this programme. This statement should be sent as an attached pdf to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday 8th March.
If you are interested there is more information about the event and the experiences of previous Oxford participants on our website and at http://kto.hkbu.edu.hk/bootcamp2019/ and of course you can contact us for further information.
