The Oxford Maths Festival 28-29 April 2018
Saturday, 28 April 2018 to Sunday, 29 April 2018, 10am - 4pm
Various locations including: Main Locations... Bonn Square (OX1 1 EU): This is the main centre of activities on Saturday 28th April. There are cycle racks around the square, and several bus stops in close reach. Parking is available at the Westgate Shopping Centre, and the train station is less than 15 minutes walk away. Sheldonian Theatre (OX1 3AZ): The starting point for Mathematical Walking Tours will be just outside the Sheldonian Theatre (look out for your guide wearing an Oxford Maths Festival t-shirt). There is ample cycle parking nearby. Many buses stop on the High Street or George Street, a short walk away. There is limited metered parking available on Broad Street. Mathematical Institute (OX2 6GG): The Wisdom of the Crowds, as well as all the activities on Sunday 29th April except walking tours will take place here. There is plenty of cycle parking, and some buses stop outside. The Maths Institute is approximately 10 minutes walk from the centre of Oxford.
Bringing together talks, workshops, hands-on activities and walking tours, the Oxford Maths Festival is an extravaganza of all the wonderful curiosities mathematics holds. Over two days you can immerse yourself in a wide range of events, with something for everyone, no matter your age or prior mathematical experience.
