Congratulations to all those from across MPLS Division who have made the shortlist for the Vice-Chancellor's Awards. The winners will be announced in June.

Projects and individuals from four MPLS departments and one division-led programme were shortlisted for seven of the 13 award categories. The shortlisted projects from MPLS are as follows:

 

Breakthrough Researcher Award

  • Breakthrough Research in Agentic AI Safety and Security – Department of Engineering Science

Collaboration for Innovation Award

  • AutoInspect – Department of Engineering Science

Commercialisation and Entrepreneurship Award

  • OrganOx – Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences and Department of Engineering Science

Commitment to EDI Award

  • RisingWISE – Mathematical, Physical & Life Sciences Division

Local Community Engagement Award

  • Comprehensive Oxford Maths and Physics Online School (COMPOS) – Department of Physics

Making a Difference Globally Award

  • The Wildlife Conservation Research Unit (WildCRU) – Department of Biology

Research Engagement Award

  • Quantum Theory in Pictures – Department of Computer Science and Department of Physics
  • Seismic Senses at the Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition – Public Affairs Directorate, Department of Biology, Doctoral Training Centre (MPLS), School of Geography and the Environment
