Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in MPLS
In MPLS, we are striving to create and sustain an inclusive culture where diversity is valued and equity prevails, so that individuals of all backgrounds can fully contribute to our scientific community in a safe and supportive culture. Diversity matters and benefits everyone. Scientific and technological innovations change the world and everyone should have access to participate and engage in that change.
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I) within MPLS is supported by the MPLS ED&I team, the ED&I Steering Group, ED&I Fellows and a number of exceptional volunteers and advocates across the Division. You can find out more about our priorities and team strategy in the links below. We also work closely with the University’s Equality and Diversity Unit and other Divisions to fully support the University’s commitment to ‘fostering an inclusive culture’.
To be successful in our endeavour to transform the STEM landscape, we need to engage everyone in the process. Join our ED&I Network to receive regular email updates about events, activities and resources.

Use the tiles below (listed alphabetically) to find out more about specific support or information available to MPLS staff and students. These are broadly separated by ED&I themes, but we acknowledge the intersectional nature of these areas, and cross-reference information as much as possible. There is also a tile providing more information on ED&I work and key individuals within MPLS departments, as well as more general resources.
