LGBTQ+ equity and support in MPLS

Support for our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ+) staff and students is imperative to ensure an inclusive environment in MPLS. We want to increase awareness and guidance and, as part of this, use this webpage to easily signpost to all the different networks, training sessions and various resources that are available to staff and students, whether members of the LGBTQ+ community or allies.

There are a number of networks and support groups available to staff and students in the LGBTQ+ community and those interested in being allies. Here you can find information in MPLS and the wider  University. 

There is a wealth of information and useful resources available around the University relating to LGBTQ+, which we have tried to summarise here. This includes guidance on how to be a responsible bystander.

In MPLS we run a number of training and facilitation sessions to explore LGBTQ+ support. These include bystander, inclusive culture and allyship training.
