MPLS Division: Preferred ways of Working
How does your PI like to work? Consider these questions:
- Are they hands on and involved in the day to day work of the group?
- How much direction do they provide?
- Are they very busy and away much of the time?
- How do they prefer to communicate? Email? Meetings? Phone?
- What hours of work do they keep?
We all prefer to work in different ways. The answers to these questions will give you a picture of how your PI prefers to work. Their preferences may align with yours, or they may not. If you can observe their preferences and do what you can to work with them, it will make their life easier and in the long run yours too.
