Dr Catherine Seed
Researcher Training and Development Officer
As a Researcher Training and Development Officer, Catherine supports the development and delivery of the suite of MPLS training courses. Catherine delivers a number of Public Engagement courses, core skills, coordinated the MPLS Innovation and Leadership Programme, and is the coordinator for the University's Three Minute Thesis competition. Catherine is currently completing a Level 5 Apprenticeship in Coaching.
Before moving to MPLS, Catherine was Public Engagement and Communications Officer at the MRC WIMM, MRC MHU and MRC HIU, and also supported widening participation as Access Assistant at Wadham College, Oxford.
A passionate science communicator, Catherine previously worked as a Tour Manager and Science Presenter at Scitech Discovery Centre in Western Australia, and has a PhD in Evolutionary Biology.
Catherine is a trained Mental Health First Aider.
