Schools and Outreach
Outreach aims to strategically widen access and participation through student recruitment, using current research and impact stories to engage and interest public. This section includes information about what activities and events are taking place. If you are a researcher and you wish to support these, please contact your departmental support staff.
The University, and MPLS and its departments, run a number of multi-subject events including a science roadshow and primary school science day.
Oxford runs events for girls to provide an insight into studying maths and science at degree level, and the kind of careers that can result.
This includes the regional teachers' conferences across the UK each year and the annual Maths and Science Teachers' Conference.
The University and MPLS also offer online resources for teachers and students, including Oxford Sparks and the Oxford Science Blog.
The Oxford University Museums organise schools events, in particular the Museum of Natural History, the Museum of the History of Science and Botanic Garden.
If you are an Oxford student or early career researcher and want to share your enthusiasm for the sciences and mathematics with students in schools or colleges, you can join Oxford's army of volunteers.
