Take your research to the Oxford Brookes Science Bazaar, deadline 15 December
The Oxford Brookes Science Bazaar is a family-friendly event that attracts over 3,000 members of the community. It is free to take part and the team are keen to hear from anyone who has interactive activities and workshops, activities, talks, workshops, demonstrations or exhibitions.
Launched in 2008, Oxford Brookes Science Bazaar has grown to be a flagship annual event for the local community and beyond. The Science Bazaar encourages exploration of ‘science’ in the widest possible terms, engaging, for free, with over 3,200 visitors, of all ages and backgrounds.
Next year's event takes place on Saturday 3 February 2024.
The Science Bazaar is passionate about improving access inclusion and hosts a relaxed autism-friendly early opening for those who prefer a quieter event experience and several of our shows have British Sign Language (BSL) interpretation.
The principal aim of the Science Bazaar is to inform and inspire visitors by showcasing the excellent research of Brookes staff, students, and partners, across the disciplines of science, technology, engineering, art, maths, and social sciences (STEAMS). Researchers from further afield are welcome to join in. The event curates a range of innovative and exciting high-quality content, which sparks the imagination and fuels a thirst for learning.
The Brookes team are currently actively seeking researchers in any STEAMS discipline to lead activities, talks, workshops, demonstrations or exhibitions as well as individuals who would like to help facilitate the event for the next Oxford Brookes Science Bazaar on Saturday 3rd February 2024.
The deadline for registering an interest in getting involved is Friday 15th December 2023.
