The Vice-Chancellor’s Awards are a University-wide celebration of our outstanding people and their successes across research engagement, innovation, and culture.

Nominations are now open to enter the Vice-Chancellor’s Awards 2024, a University-wide celebration for staff across Oxford, with categories dedicated to research engagement, innovation, and culture.

What were five awards have been combined into one single celebration that will recognise the achievements, and celebrate the successes of, our academics and researchers, professional, technical and support staff - whether they are in colleges, divisions, departments, UAS, GLAM or elsewhere.

Any member of staff can make a nomination or be nominated, regardless of their role or seniority. Please consider making a nomination and spread the word across your networks.

There will be 11 categories this year, in a range of strategically important areas – bringing our people together and helping them share ideas and inspiration across all parts of Oxford.

Award winners will be announced at a special ceremony hosted by the Vice-Chancellor at the Sheldonian Theatre on Wednesday 8 May, followed by a reception at the Examination Schools. There will also be a week-long showcase of nominations in the Weston Library.

The relevant engagement award categories include:

  1. Research Engagement Award: Recognising those who have enriched their research through engaging with those outside the University, for the benefits of wider society.
  2. Community Partnership Award: Recognising colleagues who have partnered with others to make a positive difference locally, nationally or globally.

The nomination deadline is Monday 19 February
