Enterprising Women aims to encourage, inspire and support the participation of women STEM researchers in innovation and entrepreneurship, through a variety of events and programmes.
SeedWISE is an enterprise programme born out of the success and demand for our flagship enterprise programme for women postdocs; RisingWISE. Specifically aimed at women DPhil researchers, we have taken the core RisingWISE aims and tailored the course for women at this important stage in their careers.
GroWISE: event series from the Enterprising Women team
A series of events including masterclasses, lunch & learn, social mixers, talks by enterprising and successful women working in STEM... and more.
RisingWISE: An enterprise course by and for women
RisingWISE is an established Oxbridge network inspired by EnterpriseWISE: designed by women, for women. The programme Directors are Dr Shima Barakat, University of Cambridge and Dr Anne Miller, University of Oxford (for bios please see the 'programme aims and eligibility' section).
RisingWISE role-models, ambassadors and success stories
Our previous participants are inspiring in ways both big and small and we are proud to share some of their motivating profiles here. Many have made changes since completing the programme and are happy to share their stories to encourage more women working in STEM to step back and realise different pathways are open to them.
GenSTEM: a new Gender Equity in STEM event
An event run by societies that provides a speaker platform and careers fair for women and other minority groups studying and working in STEM at the University of Oxford.
