The British Ecological Society Engagement Award recognises an ecologist who has ridged the gap between ecology and other groups. The award includes a cash prize of £1000.

The Society define Engagement is as an insightful sharing of views that has benefits for all involved.

Initiatives and activities considered include communication and interaction through a wide range of online and offline media, and public outreach activities at national or international level.

The winner will receive a £1000 honorarium, which will be presented at their annual meeting.
