This event is aimed at providing skills and training in public engagement in computer science. These events are hosted with support of an EPSRC grant awarded to Professor John Terry at the University of Birmingham.

Join online for an exciting session hosted by award-winning science communicator Sarah Cosgriff where you will delve into the world of technology and public engagement to learn and understand how to deliver engaging activities.

This session will introduce how to design interactive activities for different audiences, how to make these activities engaging and accessible and practicalities to consider when planning the delivery of interactive activities.

Participants will be shown different examples of activities relating to computer and data science and will have the opportunity to develop their own activity idea during the session.

This training workshop is open to anyone in the ICT community who wants to learn and extend their skills around public engagement.
