Graduate students, get involved with the Local Policy Lab, deadline 2 April
The project offers a fellowship program for graduate students interested in engaging with policy around 'health' and 'climate', providing opportunities for mentorship, collaboration with local authorities and community groups, and professional development.
The Local Policy Lab represents an innovative collaboration aimed at leveraging academic research to inform and enhance local policy making, with a primary focus on health and climate change.
This initiative, born from the partnership between the University of Oxford, Oxford Brookes University, and Oxfordshire County Council, is designed to directly impact Oxfordshire by integrating cutting-edge research findings into practical, local government applications.
The fellowship offered through the program targets graduate students keen on making a real-world impact in these critical areas. Participants will benefit from mentorship, engagement in collaborative projects with local stakeholders, and opportunities for professional growth, thereby contributing significantly to local policy development and implementation strategies.
This project not only aims to address pressing local challenges but also to set a precedent for research-informed policy making that could be replicated in other regions.
The deadline for applications is 23:59 pm (UK time) on Tuesday, 2 April 2024.
