UK Parliament: online training for researchers
Ever wondered how researchers can get their evidence presented to and used by Parliament?
UK Parliament offer free online training events for academic researchers and knowledge mobilisers. These focused, practical webinars are 45 minutes long, and give an insight into how to use research to engage with Parliament. There are webinars available for researchers at different career stages, as well as knowledge mobilisers (those working in roles focused on sharing research from their institution with other sectors). Dates and booking details for the Autumn 2020 series can be found on their website, linked below.
They also also offer a 'Parliament for Researchers' series of day-long training events, taking place across the UK. This programme is currently paused due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Sessions include:
- How to engage with the UK Parliament
- How to work with select committees
- How to write and target your research for a parliamentary audience
PLUS sessions tailored to PhD Students and Early Career Researchers.
