Regular meaningful Career Development Reviews are an important part of developing a positive research culture.

COURSE DETAILS

This session looks at the way in which we can have useful conversations in career development reviews. It examines the blockages to such conversations and how we can overcome them using active listening and coaching techniques. There will be an opportunity to discuss the policy and process surrounding CDRS.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this session you will have an understanding of:

  • The Career context and support for CDRs.
  • How coaching and active listening can enable positive CDR conversations.
  • An opportunity to practice relevant skills.
