For Graduate Students

Training

We have some great training this term for the following groups:

Tours

We have had interest from graduate students in joining tours of the Old Bodleian Library to see some of the historic (and frequently filmed!) library spaces in Oxford. If you would be interested in joining such a tour, please register your interest by e-mailing rachel.scanlon@bodleian.ox.ac.uk or your subject librarian.

For Researchers

Researchers, do you need books for your research area? If so we can purchase print, ebooks, journals and databases. Please note that the deadline for new book requests for this academic year is Friday 2 June 2023. We will begin purchasing for the next year in August.

Please use the recommend a purchase form on the Bodleian Libraries website to send in your requests.

Open Access: Springer Nature Deal Accepted by Universities

UK institutions have voted to accept the fifth proposal from Springer Nature and Jisc are moving to final contract negotiations, implementing the agreement once the negotiations have been completed – expected by 7th June.

Until the contract negotiations have been finalised, Oxford authors who have a paper accepted by Springer, Nature, Nature Research journals and Palgrave journals should contact the APC team.

Read more of the details on the Open Access website.
