This course is offered by Dr Sam Illingworth at Edinburgh Napier University.
This online course is designed to help you, whether a scientist, poet, or simply curious mind, delve into the world of scientific poetry, unravelling its potential and discovering its immense power in illuminating complex scientific concepts.
In this course you'll learn how to:
- Reflect on poetry as an innovative medium for science communication.
- Craft compelling poems to convey scientific research to wide audiences.
- Analyse poetry as a creative research method to spark scientific discourse.
No previous experience in poetry or science is needed, just bring your open mind and enthusiasm.
The course takes place as four one-hour weekly webinars, starting 21 October.
As a gesture of our commitment to make education accessible, we are offering 3 full bursaries, for individuals on low incomes. For everyone else, this enriching journey is available at a minimal cost of £50.
