The Institute of Physics is hosting this free one day conference at their premises in London. You can also submit ideas for talks and posters, deadline 27 Sept.

The Institute of Physics (IoP) Communicators Conference is running once again this year on the 14th of November.

It is an opportunity for science communicators of all stripes and experience across industry, academia, and more to gather. The event will feature networking opportunities, workshops, and talks to share knowledge on topics including speaking to policy makers, working with home schooled children, and writing science communication books.

This year the keynote speaker is Trent Burton, a director and producer, who alongside the comedian and science broadcaster Robin Ince, is the co-founder of the independent science entertainment network, The Cosmic Shambles Network.

The event is free and open to all, whilst physics is the focus you do not need to be working in physics to attend. It will be taking place at the Institute of Physics in London, a light lunch will be provided. There is also an online option for those unable to attend in person.

This year they are accepting submitted short talks (~8 minutes) as well as posters. They accept all submissions but this year are especially encouraging those with a variety of communication audiences and subjects away from those most commonly covered, such as Astronomy. Deadline is 27th September to submit a talk or poster.
