Opening soon: the University's refreshed PCER Fund - PLUS reviewers wanted, deadline 14 August
The University's refreshed Public and Community Engagement with Research Fund will be open for applications in the autumn. In the meantime they're looking for members of the internal review panel. Read more to find out about changes plus how you can sign up to be a review panel member.
Formerly the University's PCER Seed Fund, this refreshed funding scheme for public and community engagement with research will be open for applications from mid-September. Following in-depth evaluation and evaluation, key changes to the scheme include:
- Deadlines year round, once a term
- External community involvement in decision-making
- Clarifying the purposes of the fund, with an overarching purpose of supporting and enabling purposeful and responsible public and community engagement with research that makes a positive difference
- An improved application form
- Ability to apply for up to £6,000

Join the PCER Fund Internal Review Panel
The team administering the scheme are also looking for expressions of interest from researchers and professional services staff to be part of the internal review panels. This will involve reading around 7 applications and attending a review panel meeting. You don't have to be available every term.
