Blue Films are hosting this three day practical training course near Bristol to show how to make great films about research.

Want to learn how to make great films about research? Their popular three day Science Filmmaking course is running from 22-24 April 2024 near Bristol (Folly Farm Centre, Stowey, Pensford, Bristol BS39 4DW).

The course aims to teach you all skills you need to make engaging, professional-looking films, including:

 - Script writing,

- Shooting sequences,

- Understanding cameras,

- Recording great audio,

- Editing

- Promoting your film

This is a professional course aimed at researchers, academics, science communicators, post grads, post docs, healthcare professionals and others working in scientific industries.

Each day will combine learning theory in the classroom, with practical, hands-on experience of filming techniques, and analysing footage. Each participant will have the opportunity to be involved in every stage of the film-making process. They are invited to come prepared to make their own film on the course, and will be taught all the stages to produce a finished film after 3 days.

 

The course and lunches costs £600 (+VAT) or you can buy the course, lunches and dinner, and accommodation for £850 (+VAT).
