'Attisani's Scholarship' will enable a promising student to pursue in-depth research aimed at tackling some of the most pressing challenges in achieving zero-carbon energy systems. The scholarship recipient is set to begin their studies in October, joining a vibrant community of researchers and innovators at the forefront of environmental science and engineering.

Professor Jim Naismith, Head of the Division for Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences (MPLS) at Oxford, said: "This scholarship, for which we are profoundly grateful to the Attisani family, will enable an early career scientist to work on solving the challenge of our time, affordable, stable and zero-carbon energy. "

Michele Attisani commented on his contribution, stating, "Investing in education and research is essential for the development of sustainable technologies that will power our future. I am thrilled to support the next generation of scientists at Oxford, and I look forward to the impactful work that will emerge from the ZERO Institute."

Professor Paul Shearing, Director of the ZERO Institute, said: “Supporting the next generation of leaders in zero-carbon energy, is a crucial mission for the ZERO Institute and is instrumental to the zero-carbon energy transition. We are delighted to receive the  Attisani Family’s support, which helps us turn our mission into reality and will provide for the growth of our community and the goals of our early-career researcher network.”
