The Researcher Development Framework (RDF) provides a framework for planning and supporting the personal, professional and career development of graduate students and research staff.
The confidence that comes with attending the course I think will be of most use as I network with various people. I will try and integrate Emma’s suggestions when I talk to people but probably the best thing I learnt was to be confident and relaxed when speaking! But also to get the person you are speaking to talk about themselves. I will definitely change some of my publicly available 'pitches', such as LinkedIn profile, e-mail signature, etc. The course was very well done and I very much enjoyed it. I feel that I learnt a lot about communicating and would definitely recommend the course to my colleagues.
