James Tavener
Divisional Finance Manager - Projects
Reporting into the Divisional Financial Controller, James directly supports the Department of Biology and the Doctoral Training Centre (DTC) in the management of their financial affairs.
James joined the University in 2023 in this role. Prior to this, he read mathematics as an undergraduate at Mansfield College. Having qualified as a chartered accountant in 2013, he worked for Critchleys (specialising in working with academy schools, Oxford colleges and charities) and GLF Schools, a large multi-academy trust.
Outside of work, James enjoys hiking or trying to follow whatever major sporting event is on at the time.
