Time: 9:30 – 13:30 BST

This workshop provides the unique opportunity for ECRs to listen and interact directly with scientists about their media and policy experiences, with journalists on how they approach reporting science and what they need from scientists to do so effectively, and with policymakers on how evidence is used in policy.

This is followed by a practical session that equips researchers to have public conversations about science and the research process.

Drawing on Sense about Science’s over 20 years experience of communication on some of the most complex issues of science and evidence, we will provide tools and insights around areas where the public conversation about science can go wrong.

The deadline to apply to attend is Monday 1 July.
