Stand Up for Science, Manchester Workshop, deadline 28 Feb
Stand Up for Science is hosting this workshop in Manchester on 7 March to encourage Early Career Researchers (ECRs) to make their voices heard in public debates about science.

Time: 10:00 – 16:00
This workshop encourages Early Career Researchers (ECRs) to make their voices heard in public debates about science. ECRs will meet scientists who have engaged with the media, learn from respected science journalists, hear from policymakers on how to inform policy, and receive support on how to talk about complex science topics.
Workshop places are free, and they include lunch and refreshments. Note: travel costs are not covered.
These workshops are run by Sense About Science, an independent charity that promotes the public interest in sound science and evidence, as part of their Voice of Young Science initiative.
The workshop will cover:
- Having difficult conversations about science
- Researchers and engagement
- What journalists and policy makers are looking for
