Slide 1
Total attendances to training programmes by members of the MPLS Division. This graph shows the annual number of attendees from 2014/15 to 2023/24. Numbers grew from 771 in 2014/15 to 1353 in 2020/21, dropping in 2021/22 to 2022/23 and rose again to 1220 in 2023/24.

Number of unique attendees to training programmes by members of the MPLS Division. Separate numbers are shown for MPLS Staff and Students. Student numbers have grown since 2014/15 when 402 students attended, and has stayed similar around 450-500 per year until 2023/24. Staff numbers grew from 2014/15 when 133 attended, to a peak in 2018/19 when 259 staff members attended courses. Since 2018/19 numbers have gradually decreased to 2023/24 when 168 member attended.

MPLS Bookings versus the number of attendances to courses. This graph shows that more people book on courses than attend. 2020/21 had the highest number of bookings at 4272, and 1353 attendances. Number of Attendances has remained similar (between 1093 and 1353) across the reporting period.

Number of courses offered annually. In 2014/15 the number of courses offered was 67. This grew to a peak of 100 in 2016/17, and has sat between 80 and 99 between 2017/18 and 2023/24.

The percentage of places booked that did not attend. This is termed the ‘no-show rate’. Separate statistics are shown for MPLS Students and MPLS Staff. The percentage of students not attending courses after booking a place has ranged between 22% and 34%. The percentage of staff not attending courses after booking a place has ranged between 14% and 32%.
