If you have little or no experience of giving presentations, this course is for you.

COURSE DETAILS

The course will cover the key principles of planning and delivering a successful talk, and help to build your confidence. Each subject area in the MPLS Division has its own specific requirements for research presentations: please note that this course does not seek to address these. 

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of the session, participants will have:

  • Developed an awareness of what makes a presentation effective.
  • Understood why planning and practice are crucial to the success of a presentation.
  • The confidence to choose and use a variety of techniques to engage the audience.
  • Practiced delivering a short presentation and gained constructive feedback.
